Company Overview

Founded in 1996 by Dr. N.C Cohen a pioneer of rational drug design who applied with great success these technologies in the pharmaceutical industry, Synergix Ltd. is dedicated to develop educational resources for drug design, molecular modeling, chem-informatics and medicinal chemistry. The Company launched in 2002, a computer-based course entitled "Molecular Conceptor" which takes advantage of all the power of interactive multimedia systems. With this software, Synergix presents the knowledge and foundations needed in this multidisciplinary area. We believe that the uniqueness of Molecular Conceptor resides in its ability to condense and present the knowledge in a stepwise & creative manner along Diderot’s line when he said in his introduction to his encyclopedia: "connect discoveries and order them so that everyone can take part - at his own level, in the light of his century".

We made substantial progress in the development of MC and launched in 2004 Molecular Conceptor V2, with an entirely new concept of architecture enabling the product to be flexible and continuously developed.

Our primary target markets are academic institutions teaching Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Design, Molecular Modeling, whereas the pharmaceutical industry uses Molecular Conceptor either as a database of examples of research projects or for the training of their newly hired medicinal chemists.

We are particularly proud when we hear:

• that a new course has been created and based on our course

• that the number of students has doubled in a course using Molecular Conceptor

• research scientists telling us “we now have an understanding of the principles and concepts behind the techniques”

We are convinced of being a factor of concrete fundamental changes in drug discovery and contribute indirectly to the discovery of useful therapeutic agents.

In 2002 Synergix launched the "Drug Design Resources" (www.drugdesign.org) a free website aiming at providing useful links and facilitating the relationships between people, in this continuously expanding multidisciplinary drug discovery area.

We believe that the future of Molecular Conceptor resides in our capacity of presenting new topics and chapters, to continuously introduce new updates and transform Molecular Conceptor into a platform enabling drug discovery information and knowledge to be easily shared and exchanged.
